Your GPS Is Wrong

This street sign in Jerome made me laugh.

And sometimes they are very wrong! Sometimes it will take OnStar to get you out! :-)

I guess the residents are tired of visitors who ask for directions when the road on their GPS can't be found on the ground.

4 miles an hour?? That is impossible!!

They probably reduced the speed limit to 5mph because when the GPS does go haywire, at least you have time to rethink what the heck you're going to do next.

I actually lived right next to that sign over the summer. It's up there because that road (Gulch road) in Jerome is a pretty bumpy/washed out/muddy piece of road. With the huge amount of tourist traffic through Jerome, in rental cars no less, some people would get stuck and plenty of people would scrape undercarriages. So the city put up the sign to tell people just to stay on the nicely paved highway.

Looks like you wouldn't want to go more than 5 mph on this road for any reason! What about if you're riding a bike?

Hope your weren't speeding.
