Of all the carnival rides I was on as a kid, the ferris wheel was the only one that scared the living hell out of me. Oh, maybe the Mad Mouse miniature roller coaster, too. But definitely the ferris wheel. Especially when the operator would stop the rotation with me in one of those carts at the top of the cycle. Yegods, I need a drink.
