This beauty was my favorite of all the VW club vehicles that I saw that day. I knew it was a rare model but when I Googled it, I found one like it that sold for a shocking 99 thousand dollars. This one looked like new and even had a sun roof that I didn't notice until I looked at the picture below that I took as it was leaving.

These were the original "mini" vans, I think. This is like it just came off the showroom floor. I never realized some had so many windows.
ReplyDeleteWhat great fun!
Oh Judy, this one is simply gorgeous. Wouldn't you just love to own that? I can almost hear that distinctive VW engine purring away as it leaves.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite a price tag!
ReplyDeleteI love these.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great van to own. I'd buy it in a minute if I had the money.
ReplyDeleteThis was the original MICRO-BUS. The first one I ever saw was in Korea in 1954, and was used by the Swiss Red Cross. I loved it, and would stare at it whenever I saw it. But I never got to ride in it. I think it was originally planned as a small tour bus in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
