On display at Meteor Crater in Northern Arizona is an Apollo Space capsule used for training astronauts at the Crater. From 1964 through 1972, the U.S. Geological Survey and NASA provided extensive science training here.
Astronauts still train here today.
Astronauts with claustrophobia need not apply. :)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting bit of info, Judy. Was not aware that NASA provides training at this place. Those capsules are always interesting to see.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea this was happening here. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have known either, Judy.
ReplyDeleteSaw one of those at the science museum in London
ReplyDeleteThe question is now: what will be used to visit Mars?
ReplyDeleteI could never last in one of these things.
ReplyDeleteYes, claustrophobia!
Oh, now you've done it. Proof that astronauts never walked on the moon! Drat!
ReplyDeleteThat's an old one.
