This is wonderful looking mushroom. The texture and the colour were very vivid.
Better to leave the mushrooms alone,
They are best left where they are growing and even better photographed for us to see.
Makes me crave a mushroom and black olive pizza.
I've found a couple of big white ones in our front garden area. I, too, left them alone.
A wise decision!
