Vintage Photo
From my husband's family album, this picture from the late 1950's, taken by his father, shows how the bandstand at the courthouse was decorated back then.
Below, you can see how it looks in more recent times.
Oh my, I think I like the older version better.
ReplyDeletehow cool with the olden days decorations!

Yes, pretty cool back then. Happy Christmas, Judy!
ReplyDeleteYou've been in Prescott for a long time? I think the 50's look is a bit more festive and fun. But maybe this one is all lit up at night.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs. Let this Christmas all our wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays from Salamanca.
A shot at night these days would be good for comparison as well. A nice little Holiday setting.

Hi Judy. I didn't even know that the word captcha was no longer on my blog! And I have no idea what happened.
ReplyDeletePrescott has certainly grown. Unfortunately Ocala is booming...I'm afraid it will be like Orlando in a few years - that would not be a good thing! :)
It's always fun to look back at old decorations from our towns, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you.
I agree with Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of it!
