Kate's comment about Jerome brought back memories. I moved to Arizona in the early 1970s and there were only a couple of businesses open in Jerome and only six full-time residents. I don't remember the hospital/hotel either and that's probably because during that time period it looked nothing like it does today. The renovations on this old almost ghost town are truly miraculous!
Ah yes, my favorite place for lunch in Jerome!
ReplyDeleteA hospital? Really? Well, it looks like a great hotel today.
ReplyDeleteI was in Jerome in the '80's but don't remember much. Whaat does that say about my memory; how could anyone forget a building like that?!

ReplyDeleteI like the look of the place. I'm reading a travel book at the moment, and the Prescott and Jerome areas were covered in a section today.
ReplyDeleteSame as Kate and Kathy! I just checked the population: 444 in 2010.
ReplyDeleteA great restaurant: the Asylum!
ReplyDeleteAlways beautiful.
