Framed in the fork of a dead tree, the Watchtower stands vigil over the Grand Canyon.

Colter Hall

Completed in 1937, Colter Hall was designed by Mary Colter and built as the women's dormitory for park employees. The natural beauty of the native stone building is a striking example of her work.

Since I posted the pictures of the outside yesterday, I thought I would show some interior shots from the Douglas Mansion/ State Park/ Museum in Jerome.

Now a State Park, the Douglas Mansion is a beautiful building and a mining museum in Jerome, Arizona.

The carriage house, complete with a carriage and a wonderful antique truck inside.
