Miller Valley School

Miller Valley School had it's last day last week and will now close due to budget cuts, along with Washington School. My husband went to Miller Valley Elementary School many years ago. Judging from the date over the door, it would have been one hundred years old next year.

Now the Copper Museum, this building was once the high school in Clarkdale, Arizona.

Old School

Built in 1903, this building was an Indian School until 1937 when it closed. There are plans to renovate the building to be used as office space by the Hualapai Tribal Nation. If you are interested in the history of this place, this link will take you to an informative web page.

I found this adorable sculpture on the campus of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University at the Prescott airport. The theme is a good one for the University as it depicts children trying to retrieve their toy airplane from the tree branch.
