Here's a few close up shots of the mural on my post yesterday. The mural is huge and not easy to photograph due to the lighting and bushes.

View From The Top
This was taken from the top of Glassford Hill. It was a nice hike but it wasn't the first time that I was up there. My friend Bea and I rode our horses up to this very spot 35 years ago in March of 1981. Below is the picture that she took of me that day. We rode half way up and had to walk the horses the rest of the way because there was no trail back then. Because it is an extinct volcano, the ground is covered with volcanic rock which makes it hard to walk for people and horses.

Along The Trail
I saw these deer along the Glassford Hill trail. They saw me too.
There were some of pronghorn off in the distance. They saw me too.
More from the top tomorrow.

Climbing That Mountain
There is a new trail that goes up to the top of Glassford Hill in Prescott Valley. It opened in May and I hiked to the top early one morning shortly after it was completed. Just me and my shadow.
This is what the trail looks like from close to the top. That's Prescott Valley there in the top right of the picture. More from the hike tomorrow.
