This takes me back. Looks like it's being restored. When I was a kid I could have told you exactly what kind of plane it was, but not anymore. Beautiful!
Classic planes would be scarier to ride in than classic cars.

My Uncle Bob learned to fly in one like this. Chet may remember him.
It reminds me of that John Wayne movie, The Flying Tigers.
We've gone to lots of air shows and it's lots of fun seeing these aircraft.
At first glance this looked like a model plane! How neat to see this close-up.
