Buffalo Dancers

At the Smoki Museum over the weekend, dancers from the Acoma Pueblo performed The Buffalo Dance while artists from the Santa Domingo Pueblo displayed their beautiful crafts.

Good thing is they are carrying on the tradition.

The Pueblo Indians have so many varied dances that are exciting to watch. Acoma is probably my favorite pueblo to visit. It is so different and the residents are friendly and welcoming.

They came quite a distance to perform there. Wonderful photos of these dancers. I bet there were some wonderful crafts to admire there too.
