Early Settlers

As you come into Prescott from the east, this sculpture is one of the first public art pieces that you will see. The artist is Bill Nebeker.

Horse And Hand

Sculpture seen at The Bronzesmith Foundry and Gallery.
This one reminded me of a photo I took last year.
A bit less graceful than the sculpture.

Open House

Yesterday was the annual open house at The Bronzesmith Fine Art Foundry and Gallery. Always an interesting place to visit.

The front courtyard is full of beautiful sculptures.

There were local artists on hand with some of their work on display.
In the photo to the left, artist Carl Wolf  talks with a visitor.

Museum Piece

Gargoyle
Douglas Mansion Museum/State Park

Always good advice and interesting that they needed a sign like that back in the old days of Jerome.

Wednesday Window...Big Fish

I have posted a picture of this mosaic fish before here . It was moved into the window of the Prescott Valley library so I took this shot through the glass.  When I looked at the picture on my computer, I thought it looked like it was under water.

Jail Tree

If you think Sheriff Joe's tent city would be a bad place to have to spend some time, just think how bad it would have been to get arrested in Wickenburg back in the late 1800's. They didn't have a jail so they chained them to a tree as depicted in this public sculpture.
