It's time for "Chalk It Up Prescott" once again and as usual there are some very talented artists participating. This is Lori Escalera working on a lovely portrait. The artwork is done on the pavement in the Summit bank parking lot. This is the third year for this event.

This is really, really good. I wonder if there is a difference in the colors selected for working on black asphalt compared to cement.
What fun! Hope it doesn't rain!
Amazing talent demonstrated here. Beautiful artwork.
Wow, would love to see this. Hopefully it stays for a while to be enjoyed.
I would love the have the talent beyond drawing a stick figure. So beautiful.
Maybe we crossed each other without knowing... The "Chalk it up" was such a nice event!
Art of ALL genres really appeals to me. Re. Donna Leon: begin with her first novel, Death at La Fenice to get an intro to the main characters and the family...she's a great read!!
This was my favorite chalk portrait, too, but getting there on the first day was a mistake. Looks like Lori could have used some sunscreen on her arms!
What fun! It amazes me how talented some people are, and that such lovely works of art are so fleeting.
You are sooo lucky to have this event. I've seen pavement chalk artists before and have been amazed...some are so realistic you're afraid to walk near them thinking you might fall in a big hole!
It is amazing what some artist can do.
