Photographing All Of Yavapai County In Central Arizona And Beyond
Wow! What a reminder!
This was before my time, and I am old, according to my adult children.
Looks like the one I grew up with. As I remember, our number was 16. Not sixteen, mind you, but one six!
We've come a long way baby!
Just like the one grandma had up in northern Minnesota and I remember it well. When the phone rang (it was a party line) you could always be certain that at least 2 or 3 neighbors were listening in! As a kid, I thought that was hilarious!Nice shot!Back in the early 70s, I had a good friend in his mid-60s. When I called him on the phone to go play golf he'd always answer, "Go ahead, it's your nickel!" I think pay phone calls were a dime.
This makes me think of the Waltons.
I remember these!!
