The Powder Box Church

Just because I haven't posted a picture of it for a while, here is a picture of my favorite building in Jerome.
The Powder Box Church, now a private residence, was built from old dynamite crates by the mine workers in 1939. It was called the Mexican Methodist Church until the closing of the mine.

Oh! Exquisite with these cypress trees around.
You added such interesting details.

I too love this building and its story. I often wonder what it must feel like living there. Would't you love to see the inside!

We, My husband and I Michael eloped and got married here on the front lawn....the photographer we hired had connections to this place and the owners...who own a restaurant in town. We were very blessed to be able to have such a beautiful location to be married at. We hope some day we can have another reception here where we can have friends and family invovled in the celebration. We are not sure because it is privately owned....so what will be will be!
