Cold Gold



It isn't unusual to see someone panning for gold along Lynx Creek in the summer but this fellow was braving the cold of February, panning for gold in the ice and snow.

To each his/her own, I guess. I can't imagine the possible reward would be worth the effort, but what do I know? And if he's having fun, more power to him! He does look kinda lonely down there, though!

Beautiful photo. I wonder how much gold they get. Maybe its like fishing they just enjoy the process.
