The Last Town

Williams suffered after being bypassed by the interstate for many years but is a very busy tourist town now.

Route 66 is a real draw for people who have a nostalgic bent to their life.

The town is undoubtedly a more pleasant place without all the trucks and other traffic going right through the middle of town.

It certainly fared better than some towns along the way.

I'm glad it was able to survive and prosper. So many little towns were not so fortunate. Happy Easter to you and your family!

I was a little disappointed on my last visit to Williams. It used to have a nice collection of antique, second hand, small town stores. Now it seems everything is a souvenire shop. I found several treasures there, but not on my last trip.
