Bearizona

In Williams, Arizona there is a drive through animal sanctuary that we have passed many times but never went in until a couple of weeks ago. I took a lot of pictures in there and will be posting some in the next few weeks. Most of the animals they have were rescued from bad situations.

You can drive your own vehicle through the park and you listen to a recorded tour guide which they give you when you enter. The animals are all around you and can come right up to your vehicle. They also have a bus that you can go through in.

The picture at the left is the sign on the walk through part of the park where they have young bears and other smaller animals.

We had  a nice day exploring this park. If you are in the area, I would recommend a visit to this place.

I think that this is a really fun activity and I could see myself driving down the park.

This would be a fun place to take grandchildren.

It's so important to save these abused/neglected animals. Kudos for the community that fosters this!

I have heard of this place as well as the Wild Animal park over by Camp Verde but haven't been to either of them. Maybe your post will stir me.

Definitely a must on my next visit to Northern Arizona. But who knows when that will be! I can't even get a day out much less a trip out of state!
