Driving To Alaska....Homer

I liked the little town of Homer, Alaska. It was a quiet fishing town.

Businesses along the water's edge were built on stilts.

We saw a young moose grazing in someone's yard.

The marina had too many boats to count.

This one was my favorite.

And this is the hospital where we found out that the sprained ankle that Chet had been walking on for over a week was actually a broken ankle.

Oh charming. I would love to visit this little village one day. I am hoping Homer will stand at the same place.

Certainly a quiet little town and picturesque too. A broken ankle must have been pretty painful?

Your third photo answers the question about where moose graze. Anywhere they want.

Your photos are lovely. Love most the marina shots! But Homer does look a little bleak. Kudos to the hospital, though, and its personnel for coming up with the right diagnosis.

I'm wondering how the town came to get that name. I doubt it was named for Homer Simpson. But you never know. :)

What a great group of photos. I don't remember if Chet had to wear a cast on his ankle or not.
