Traveling Roadside Petting Zoo

It isn't every day that I see a camel in a parking lot in Prescott Valley so when I spotted this one from the highway, I had to pull in and get an up close look. This one was giving rides for $7 a ride.

He has funny feet.

There were other animals in the tent but I didn't go in.

I'm surprised that these traveling petting zoos are still around. Must be a hard life for both the animals and the keepers.

I've always thought that camels have an intelligent look about them. I don't know if they are but, they look intelligent. Funny feet, yes!

Wow! I've never seen a traveling petting zoo. I wonder how they satisfy local codes?

For seven bucks, I'd take a ride. Never been on a camel. Used to walk a mile for one, though. Back in the day when we didn't know much better.

Nice shots.

I know you are a horse person, but I think you would have found riding a camel quite comfortable.

The only thing I don't like about camels is when they spit! :-)
Funny feet indeed.

Traveling petting zoos seem cruel to me. But maybe that's just me.
