Joe has a nice smile. But why would there be a bust of him and a book about or by him. Who is/was Joe Beeler? Cool shot!

Since Beeler is a western artist and sculptor I am assuming that the objects recognize his work.

I love that grin on Joe's face (if in fact, that is a bust of Joe).

That bust does look like Joe Beller, although I did not see him during the later years of his life. He and his wife were personal friends of mine and my former husband. He was responsible for finding a job for my husband in Flagstaff in 1971 or '72. We had numerous Joe Beeler works of art. I still have one oil painting and a few sketches and some limited edition books where he drew a small watercolor in the flyleaf. I think my former husband still has a few pieces including a couple bronzes. I met him in Oklahoma City in 1970 at the Cowboy Hall of Fame at a show of the Cowboy Artists of America, of which he was a founder. He took us outside to show us the color of the rocks in Sedona (red, of course) by lifting up his car hood so we could see the dusty engine. Joe was a native of your home state of Missouri and was a fabulous man and a great artist.

I was just looking through these comments. I'm feeling pretty ignorant about know. Mr. Beeler seems to have been very well known by some! :)
