Elephant Crossing

An unexpected sign in our area.

You wouldn't expect to see an elephant by the Peeples Valley Veterinarian office.
Peeples Valley is just a few miles from Kirkland Junction. It was named for A.H. Peeples, who was the leader of the group that discovered Rich Hill, a gold deposit near Weaver, Arizona, in 1863.

I am sure children in the back seat of passing cars scream at their parents to stop.

I'd scream and stop as well.

Neat sculpture and I LOVE the sign.

That is an unexpected sign but, I fear that elephant isn't going to cross the road all by himself.

Well at least he doesn't eat much.

I've seen sculptures of animals like this in other clinics in Santa Fe. Intriguing idea to call attention to their business.

I think this vet probably has a good sense of humor.
