Wednesday Window.....Square
This window is in the top floor of the Prescott Valley Town hall. Those wires are there to keep the pigeons off the window sill which looks like it would have been a perfect roosting spot.
I've not see wires like this before. I don't see any pigeons, either, so the wires must work. We had lots of pigeons at a school where I taught and an assistant principal thought he could get rid of them by putting faux owls around the roof. The next morning I saw a pigeon sitting on one of the owls!

Smart pigeons would bring in nesting material to cushion the spot. ;)
You really would not want them nesting, messy & smelly

Those flying vermin certainly are a pain!
Yup!! If those spikes weren't there, I bet the pigeons would love this spot.
The architect should have anticipated that a recessed window such as this would have been a perfect pigeon roost.
I've noticed these wires in various places in my neighborhood. They seem to work very well.
I'd hate to be a pigeon with bad eyesight.
The blue reflection is neat against the aqua wall. Love the comments others have left.
Pigeons must love that window.
