Driving To Alaska....Anchorage

Spring in Anchorage in early June, the municipal building has flowers and trees in bloom.

I thought this was a perfect mural for this city.

I have never been to Alaska. Your photos are making me realize that I stereotype view of it. Thanks to you Judy I am getting the true picture.

Since Theme Day, I've been seeing lots of triangles (top photo). You had a marvelous Alaskan trip, judging from your many photos.

That's one impressive building. Love the mural, too. And all the beautiful flowers are surprising. I always thought of Alaska as grey and drab!

Man, has Anchorage changed since I lived there 74-80. Hard to believe UAA campus looks like that.

That mural is amazing! I haven't been to Alaska, but I'd love to see it for myself someday.

Loved the burro photos from yesterday! Very appropriate mural. I have seen whales each time I cruised Alaska. One time they stopped the ship to view some Orcas passing by. So thrilling to see these magnificent animals in their environment!

I have had friends from Alaska but I've never been there. Your trip makes it look like a beautiful state.
