Yesterday's post had us in Chicken Alaska where we spent the night. In the morning we started off on the 108 miles of dirt and gravel road that would lead us back to the Canadian border and Dawson City, Yukon. Along this route we only saw about ten other vehicles and some beautiful scenery.
This is the international border station on the "Top Of The World Highway".
The bare patch of land in the picture to the left is the border between the United States and Canada

What a gorgeous view in that top photo. I'll bet that border patch is very hard to see when this whole area is covered with snow.
Are these pictures you had in your picture file of your trips.
Or are you traveling like 6 times a year.
Just wondering.
All is nice and interesting.
I guess because your a senior most seniors have had their time traveling afar.
Gorgeous, amazing views.
That's going to tend to be a very quiet border crossing.
Beautiful.
It looks all so quiet but most of all beautiful.
I've driven this road many times, the first in 1973 on an exploratory trip with my two nephews. The border agent felt the need to search my Land Cruiser for some reason, had long hair then so maybe....anyway, he put his hand in a pocket of a nephews coat, and impaled himself on a treble hook on a lure the nephew had stuffed in his pocket. The agent was not happy.
