Prescott Center For The Arts

Yesterday I posted that window by the stairs so I thought I'd post the full view today.  I love this old church building and I have posted a picture of it before here. This is the back of the building.

The Powder Box Church..Again

Every time I go to Jerome I have to get another picture of my favorite building in the old town So here is another shot of the Powder Box Church which is now a private home.

I took both of these pictures from the parking lot of the Douglas Mansion.
In this shot you can see the town of Jerome nestled on the side of the mountain.

Smoke Damage

This is where the fire departments do their training exercises.
It's near the Peavine trail in Prescott and I have featured it before here.
On this day I noticed something and zoomed in to get a closer shot.

That guy doesn't look like he's in very good shape.

It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it.

Wednesday Window...Big Fish

I have posted a picture of this mosaic fish before here . It was moved into the window of the Prescott Valley library so I took this shot through the glass.  When I looked at the picture on my computer, I thought it looked like it was under water.

Hopi House

One of my favorite buildings at the Grand Canyon is the Hope House. It was built in 1905 and designed by architect, Mary Colter.

Theme Day...What I Would Miss

After much consideration, I have to say that the thing I would miss the most about Prescott and the surrounding area is the WEATHER. We have short mild winters and beautiful summers that are usually not too hot. We have an early flowery spring and a long colorful fall.
All the better for spending time in the glorious forests that surround the town....

......or a day on one of the many lakes close by.
