 This is one landing inside the Desert View Watchtower at the Grand Canyon. 

But, look up, there are more steps to go before you reach the top.
There are about 80 steps from the bottom to the top of the tower.

Wednesday Window....Grand Canyon Watchtower

The Desert View Watchtower, also known as the Indian Watchtower at Desert View is 70 feet high and was designed to resemble an ancient Pueblo People's Watchtower. When I took this picture of the window high up at the top of the structure, I didn't know I had captured the image of these two beautiful Dine' or Navajo women looking out at the Canyon. I was pleasantly surprised.

The Desert View Watchtower built in 1932, also known as the Indian Watchtower was designed by American architect Mary Colter; Visitors can climb to the top floor of the 70 foot high rock tower and gaze out the windows that circle the room at the splendor of the Grand Canyon landscape.

This is a view of Fain Park and the Chapel of the Valley from up on a hill in Prescott Valley. On the right you can see the turret on the Barlow-Massicks Housel.

Lobster Man

Advertising a local restaurant (Red Lobster?) at the courthouse. Kind of scary looking, if you ask me.

This is a popular place for lunch in Prescott. It's right across the street from the Courthouse.

Centennial Belt Buckle

I saw this buckle in the window of a Prescott shop. It commemorates the Centennial of Arizona statehood.

The footprint of the old house at Storm Ranch is now a nice patio. The fireplace, built of native rock, was left standing after the house was torn down.

Lunch Place

I think this place is called 'Good To Go Cafe'. It's a little place to grab a bite to eat on the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University campus at the Prescott airport.

I found this adorable sculpture on the campus of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University at the Prescott airport. The theme is a good one for the University as it depicts children trying to retrieve their toy airplane from the tree branch.

Klee Kai

Sometimes called a miniature husky, the Klee Kai is a beautiful small husky with a silvery coat. This one was very friendly and well behaved.

Getting Around Town

This unique mode of travel has all the seats with pedals and the passengers all work it together to move it.

VW Purse

I saw this cute and unusual beaded VW purse in a store window. A must have for anyone who owns one of these cars.
