Smoke

I wanted to do one last post about the fire burning near Prescott.

This is one of the big slurry bombers taking off from the Prescott Airport.
I have posted some higher resolution photos on flickr.

That fire looks way too close! The first shot is very impressive and dramatic. I did go to your Flickr stream...you've done some beautiful work! Maybe you should start another blog to show off these photos?

I haven't seen today's newspaper yet, but yesterday's said that the fire was mostly not contained, so I guess you will be seeing those planes and helicopters for awhile.

My son is spending the weekend with his wife's parents in Cottonwood, and he said that they could see the smoke in the sky from over there.

That is so sad but the way you caught the fire in the top shot is masterly! Well done, Judy, it's a fabulous shot.

The impact of your top shot is first class. It is a sad situation and I think that photograph says it all. Off to have a look at your flickr shots.

I hate that big, ugly cross but I must admit you made a great photo with the fire in the background.
