Another View Of The Old School

Here is another view of the school that I posted yesterday. It has an interesting and controversial history which you can read about in the link in yesterday's post.

I thought the building was quit enew but now reading the link I see it is not. Seems to me a good thing it is not used for the original purpose now

This building looks so forlorn now, and it would be good if it was put to good use that would benefit the Hualapai Tribal Nation.

Your link yesterday was very informative. I did not even know that the National Park Service has a website for Route 66 locations.

Hopefully, it will have a less controversial future.

Hi again, Judy. Re. your comment on my blog today: Yesterday when Lowell kindly mentioned putting the building to good use that would benefit the Hualapai Tribal Nation, my reaction was, "I'd rather see it burned down," but I tried to be a little kinder in my comments earlier today. I agree with the Natives who would rather it disappear because of its history.

That first picture looks like the school I went through my first 8 grades in long, long ago and far away.

It would make a great bunch of art studios.

I hope 2014 proves to be a good year for you and yours!

Canada has a similar BAD history of removing First Nations children to residential schools. It's very sad when one group feels its way of life is superior to another's way. Just saying.
