Driving To Alaska...The Long Road Ahead

Several years ago my hubby and I set out on a road trip to Alaska. I decided to break the rules and  post some pictures of the trip on the weekends. I will start out after we crossed the international border and into beautiful British Columbia. All these pictures were taken with a 35mm SLR camera and scanned.

Gassing up at Muncho Lake,
we have many miles of extraordinary
scenery ahead.

We saw this guy guarding the entrance to
Clarke Sawmill. He looked kind of familiar.

Never been to Alaska. Scenery in top photo is what I would enjoy. Incidentally, we all break rules in CDP! Go for it!!

In high school a friend of mine and I dreamed of driving to Alaska. It is the only state I have not yet visited. It is on our list, but I am sure we will go by ship and not drive.

I was thinking of Paul Bunyan until I read your links. The post by Granny J brought back a load of memories and a tear in the eye.
